Salt & Sky on the radio…

We have been spreading the word about our new EP on the radio this month and meeting some lovely people! At the end of October we had a good long chat to Mike Brown for ‘The Friday Alternative’ show on CHBN Radio, where we listened together to some of the tracks from our EP and played some new stuff as well. You can listen again to the whole show on Soundcloud – or just skip the chat and drop straight into the live performances:

12:01 – The Cave of Many Colours (Nancy Kerr)
24:29 – Tolla Rooz (Trad. / Will Coleman), St Ives Fer Moh
38:56 – Rise & Shine (Neil Davey), Begone from my Window (Trad. / Frances Bennett)
48: 50 – The Egloshayle Ringers (Trad.)

We are also delighted to have been played on some of our favourite radio shows and podcasts recently. Phil Widdows included The Egloshayle Ringers in his glorious harvest cornucopia of new music that is the November issue of Folkcast (www.folkcast.co.uk/ShowNotes/shownotes113.html) and was kind enough to send us some great feedback from a listener in the US.

We’ve also been played on Radyo an Gernowegva, the Cornish language podcast by Matthi ab Dewi which is broadcast across Cornwall on local stations Hub radio, TheSourceFM, Radio St Austell Bay and Penwith Radio. Estren Dyworth an Mor (Stranger from the Sea) is featured at the end of #249 – listen back to the latest programmes on the Radyo An Gernowegva website at www.anradyo.com.

It’s been a real pleasure and a privilege to hear our music out on the air-waves! And we are looking forward to more radio fun in December, we’ll be stopping by at Radio St Austell Bay (www.rsab.org) on 6th December to talk to Sheila Vanloo – can’t wait!
